Rosebud Restaurants Wins The 3rd Annual Mac ‘n Cheese Golden Noodle Award
Aranchini Mac and Cheese Ball Now Available on Menu
Rosebud took home a new award at the 3rd Annual Mac ‘n Cheese fest at the UIC Forum during the lunch session. Over 47 Chicago restaurants competed for the coveted Golden Noodle award. The Rosebud Restaurant Group restaurants Rosebud Prime and Rosebud Steakhouse created the Aranchini Mac and Cheese Ball, which is a blend of three Italian Cheeses, (Fontana, Fontinella, Garna Padano) tossed with braised bacon and sweet peas, Milanese breading and fried crisp. “This was our first year participating and we wanted to create something unique and true to our traditional Italian fare” said Chef Andrew Sikkelerus. “We are so happy to have won, and hope that people will come and give it a try, we’ll be offering it at both steakhouses” adds Fabio Capperelli, Corporate Executive Chef for Rosebud Restaurants.
Hundreds of people attended the fest sampling from each restaurant. The general public was able to vote as well as a panel of six judges.
The Aranchini Mac ‘n Cheese appetizer is available (3 balls for $10) at both Rosebud Prime (1 S. Dearborn) or Rosebud Steakhouse (192 E. Walton St, Chicago). The Mac ‘n Cheese was inspired by American Mac ‘n Cheese with Rosebud Italian Flare.
